Outward Impact

Hey Missions partners,

Here is an update we made to share with all of you. It communicates what has been going on the past few months including a recent missions outreach we returned from.

Outreach to Saint-Maximin

Training session

In April we had the opportunity to go on an outreach to the south of France with a team of missionaries from our campus. We ran an event we call Ignite 4:19. This ministry exists to train and equip the French in their walk with the Lord. It helps to ignite them in their relationship with God, growing with God in their character. We partnered primarily with a few churches and ministered in the area around the small town of Saint-Maximin. They hosted us the whole time and were so hospitable, we are so grateful for the friends and contacts we have there. Jacob and I were blessed to stay with an elderly lady from the church who offered for us to stay in her home. It was really evident how much she loved the Lord and we were blessed by the time we had with her. During the week we ran training, messages, teaching on missions, evangelism, prayer, and reverence of God. On a saturday morning we ran an evangelism workshop where we taught and then went to the streets to proclaim Jesus! It was a challenging atmosphere in the city but those attending were very bold and encouraged by doing evangelism (many for the first time). In the evening of the saturday we had a large gathering where many churches and locals in the area came. Throughout the event we saw

Teaching Missionaries Partnership Development

I (Jacob) have been working with some of the missionaries here at our campus in Aubervilliers to help them in their partnership development ministry. Every missionary in Youth with a Mission is dependent on God to see provision of finances for their vocation in missions. Often this can be really challenging for many as it is can be very relational, time consuming, vulnerable, and a humbling process to rely on God and reach out to others, inviting them to be a part of missions in a personal way. Megan and I recently came from a season of investing in partnership development a bunch so that we could see a grounding of our long term missions commitment. This has equipped us to help many others in their partnership development and fundraising skills. We are working with 5+ people on their processes, helping them to plan, reach out, and see an increase in their finances so they can more easily follow all God has for them in their mission call.

24 Hour Prayer & Worship

Last week our campus hosted a prayer & worship event. We prayed for 10 different nations throughout the 24 hours that we contented for the people from these nations to know Jesus. It was great for us to get a greater heart for the lost and to bring locals into the missional heart God has for his people. We served in covering the event technically and attended for much of it.

Training Iber

Jacob & Iber

I (Jacob) have been working with a support staff named Iber from Mexico that has come to our missions campus for the past 3 months. He has been getting a stronger heart for missions from the Lord while being here in missions work. He has been absolutely amazing in the way he serves God through taking initiative and doing things with such diligence & heart. I have been able to work with him, train him in skills, help him fundraise, and encourage him in his walk with God. Specifically to encourage the breaking off of fear and acceptance of God's provision over him as he is stepping into committing to missions. He is excited to go home to fundraise and soon return as a full time missionary. Please pray for Iber as he goes home and has a season of preparing. The Lord is clearly moving in his life and we are so excited to see what God does in and through his life. Reach out to me if you are interested in hearing more about his story and connecting with him about his missions work.

Connect Community Thriving

Connect Community Classes

The Connect Community ministry that runs weekly at our campus has been thriving! Every Tuesday & Thursday this ministry runs English classes and workshops for locals in our area who have a desire to learn English. This is a great door into people's lives where we can relationally connect with them. Last week our English class attendance was 52! That is the most we have ever had and an answer to prayers. On Thursdays after the English workshop there is a Bible study for locals to join to have a further time to practice if they would like. We are helping with the men’s and women's Bible studies. Megan has been preparing and covering hospitality for these and providing a welcoming place for people to come to. The study is going through God’s redemptive timeline throughout the whole Bible. Starting with the Old Testament and heading towards the New Testament. Over time we have even seen several non-Christians and Muslims joining the Bible studies as well. We invite you to pray for this ministry that we would continue to see fruit where we are able to have conversations with them about Jesus.

Prayer requests

  • Please pray for our health, for the past fews months we have had an off and on sickness. Megan has been sick more and we are trusting for healing, renewed strength, immunity, and energy.

God is and has been so faithful to us. We pray that our lives are an encouragement and a blessing as we serve as missionaries. Thank you for partnering with us to impact peoples lives, Paris, and the nations.

Here are some more photos from the past few months. Group team photos, ministry, maintenance things, Evangelism, etc
